In Germany leisure activities are often organised by associations. There are jogging groups, socker clubs, dancing societies and a lot more.
If you want to active in Sports those associations are a good adress to get to know people, especially locals.

Language and integration

Open meetings

Café Lingua is an international conversation program. German and foreign students meet in an informal atmosphere every Monday at 8 p.m. to practise different languages at different places.

At the International Coffee Hour interested students have the chance to discover other cultures and meet new people over a cup of coffee. Every Wednesday at the Max-Kade-Foyer (Gutzkowstraße 29 -33) from 4:30 – 7:00 p.m.

Salsa, yoga, concersation, singing... A wide range of inter-cultural activities is offered at the Campusbüro Uni mit Kind. Please have a look on the program and register via e-mail: gabriele.feyler(at)tu-dresden.de (Mrs. Gabriele Feyler).

Language tandem

Learning languages in a tandem means that two people with different first languages work together, to learn from and with each other. If, for example, you want to improve your knowledge in German, you can - in addition to your language course or completely independent from it - work together with a German person who wants to learn your native language.

FiF-Program for intercultural contact

The goal of the FiF-program is to help foreign students get in touch with the people living in Dresden. The access to the German everyday life and culture can be easily provided to foreigners when they ma German friends: FiF-Program for intercultural contact

Foreigners' Board (Ausländerrat e.V.)

The Foreigner's Board (Ausländerrat e.V.) offers advice, cultural events and activities like meetings, sport and courses.

Get to know the country, you are living in

Discussion group meeting twice a week to speak and learn about current political, historical and cultural themes in Dresden and Saxony.
