Dresden always used to be a residential city, today it is the capital of the Free State of Saxony (see: Saxony Free State of Saxony in Wikipedia ). The state situated in the south-east of Germany has 4,1 million inhabitants and covers an area of 18.400 km². The reputation of saxony is founded on peaceful trade and economy, culture and intellect. Saxony is the economic leader in East Germany. The landscape reaches from lowlands in the north up to average mountains on the Czech boarder in the south.
