The equality of man and woman is an important topic in Germany. It is confessed in the German constitution. That is why the TU Dresden has different offices and comissions to watch over the compliance of this law.
Both, the representatives for gender equality and women’s empowerment, work under the responsibility of the gender equality commission of TU Dresden. Their tasks are personal counselling, lobbying and safeguarding interests at
various organisational levels and the coordination of projects, among others. Representatives for gender equality are appointed in all faculties and in some central academic units. For more information see the
