The goal of an institutional contract is to maintain an intensive, complex, and comprehensive cooperative relationship with select, renowned partner institutions.

Before finalizing an Institutional contract please verify the following:

• Is sufficient information available regarding the future partner school (e.g. academic and research offerings, quality)?
• What concrete results are to be achieved?
• Are financial resources and personnel available?
• Are there clearly defined parties who are responsible for fulfilling the activities stipulated in the contract?

An institutional contract is only to be finalized:

• If, after verifying the points mentioned above, achieving the goals of the partnership seems promising and in line with the TU Dresden’s internationalization strategy.
• If a certain base exists within the TU Dresden; normally, this is the case when at least three faculties or branches of study are working with the foreign institution in question.

Finalizing an institutional contract requires the approval of the rectorial board, and the preparation of the document is to be agreed upon with the International Office.
