Last round of new calls under the EU Seventh
Framework Programme
26 June 2012
In preparation of the last large round of calls for proposals
under the 7th Framework Programme the European Commission is
publishing first drafts of the Work Programmes in the form of
orientation papers.
The orientation papers, which are not legally binding and
which may be modified until official publication, provide the
contents of the calls, which will be sufficient to select a
consortium and plan a project. They will not include deadlines
or budgets for the various topics and activities.

Open Information Day for FP7 calls in „Information and
Communication Technologies“ und „Nanoscience and
Nanotechnologies“
Successful Event
The next and probably last round of calls for proposal
within the 7th Framework Programme of the EU is expected for
the summer 2012. With an open information day on 5th June 2012
at Technische Universität Dresden we informed about funding
opportunities in the areas of ‘Information and Communication
Technologies’ and ‘Nanoscience and Nanotechnologies’.
The event was organised by the European Project Center of TU
Dresden together with BTI Technologieagentur Dresden and the
National Contact Points ‘Information and Communication
Technologies’ and ‘Nanotechnologie’.
There were presentations to introduce the new Work
Programmes, talks from successful applicants as well as hints
and tips for successful proposal writing.

New Calls for the Marie Curie
fellowships
Intra-European Fellowships (IEF)
The European Commission supports a research stay
in an EU Member State or an associated country for experienced
researchers with at least four years research experience or a
PhD.
The research topic can be freely chosen by the researcher in
collaboration with the host organisation. Applicants can be of
any nationality.
Deadline:
16th August 2012 at 17:00:00 (Brussels local time)
International Outgoing Fellowships (IOF)
This is a fellowship for a research stay in a
Third Country for one or two years with a 1 year obligatory
reintegration phase in Europe.
It is aimed at experienced researchers with at least four
years research experience or a PhD. The research topic of the
project can be freely chosen.
Deadline:
16th August 2012 at 17:00:00 (Brussels local time)
International Incoming Fellowships (IIF)
With this fellowship researchers from a Third
Country get the opportunity for a research stay in an EU
member state or an Associated country. The aim is to
strengthen knowledge transfer between Europe and Third
Countries and for the researcher to get to know a European
research institution.
Applicants must be experienced researchers with at least four
years research experience or a PhD. The research topic of the
project can be freely chosen.

New Calls in the specific programme People (Marie Curie
Actions)

Marie Curie Career Integration Grants (CIG)
- The
Career Integration Grants intend to reinforce the European
research area.
- The
aim of this action is the permanent integration of mobile
researchers within an EU member state.

Financial support shall ensure the continuation of the
research career during a stay at another host institution in
an EU member state or associated country.
- The
call is addressed to Postdocs as well as researchers with at
least four years of research experience.
