Outstanding training for early career researchers

Top-quality training conditions for young scientists is a priority of Technische Universität Dresden. In graduate schools, highly qualified, young researchers find the best possible environment for working and doing research. They are given the chance to do their doctoral studies in an excellent research environment and in close contact and cooperation with their thesis advisors.

Among the major goals of the graduate schools are interdisciplinary and international projects and also the integration of foreign doctoral students. The basic idea here is to secure the high quality of studies for doctoral students at TU Dresden and the close contact to their thesis supervisors.

TU Dresden was successful in the first phase of the excellence initiative with its graduate school „Dresden International Graduate School for Biomedicine and Bioengineering“ (DIGS-BB), for which an renewal proposal has been submitted in September 2011.
