End of the  IDM implementation phase

The new Identitity Management System (IDM) is started on December, 10, 2012. It is the basic for the authentification at some systems like Webmail, Exchange, the High Performance Computers, the central login servers and others.
With the start of IDM also a new password policy was activated. Your password must have at least one sign of these groups: capital letter, lowercase, digit,  special character.

All users had to confirm their current passwords at password-Portial (https://idm-service.tu-dresden.de ) until April, 15, 2013.
Users who have not confirmed their accounts, have been informed before the deadline via email from ZIH. If the confirmation is not done for the user account even after prompt, the user account was disabled at  April, 23. Disabled users still have the option to confirm/unlock their password until May 1, 2013 to get unlocked.

After May, 2,  2013  unlocking of user accounts will be done exclusively through the Services Desk by  presenting the student card or identity card for employees or guests.
