The Zentrum für Informationsdienste und Hochleistungsrechnen (ZIH) provides the whole voice service for the TU Dresden. This covers the telecommunication complex (TK-complex), the according transmission network on the campus, the branch offices and the management of cell phone contracts as well.
Since March 2011 the TK-complex has been adapted step by step from ISDN to the Voice-over-Internet-Protocol (VoIP). This change needs a longer parallel operation of both systems. The ZIH is keen to keep differences low. Therefor the information sites of the voice service are not separated into the both systems unless it is absolutely necessary.
