The representative for women’s empowerment
The representative for women’s empowerment is another point of

representative for women’s empowerment at TU Dresden
My motivation is the joy of rebellion and the pleasure of
spinning webs. I go by what Simone de Beauvoir used to
write: „Women, who demand nothing, will get what they
demand: nothing”.
The representatives for gender equality and women’s empowerment
at TU Dresden support and advise the equality representatives of the faculties and
central academic units who are organised in the equality
working group . Moreover, they advise applicants of DFG/SFB
applications on equality and the promotion of women in
cooperation with the representative for equality management at the
rector’s office . Another major task is the
proposal, coordination and work on gender research projects
and/or their promotion (e.g., for recruiting women for MINT
studies (mathematics, computer science, sciences,
technology). Moreover, the representatives for gender
equality and women’s empowerment are involved in equality
work at federal and Laender levels.
