The Institute of Machine Elements and Machine Design is a cooperative union of the Professorship of Design Technology/CAD, the Professorship of Machine Elements, and the Professorship of Industrial Design. Administrative and organizational tasks of education are handled centrally, while the professorships themselves are responsible for the content of education and their respective research fields.
