This professorship covers the following
areas in research and education: dynamics, mechanism
design, vibrational analysis, data processing, system
identification as well as structural analysis including
FEM.
Current fields of fundamental and applied
research are
- dynamics, mechanism design, vibrational
engineering (computation and measurement of the dynamics
of machines and constructions, active and passive means
of vibrational disturbance suppression, computation of
magneto-elastical and elasto-mechanical using FEM and
BEM)
- system identification and dynamics of
machines (determination of stiffness and damping using
various parametric estimation procedures, experimental
modal analysis, diagnostics)
- data processing
- rotor dynamics
- biomechanics with the focus mainly on
middle and inner ear as well as wood
research
- structural optimization regarding emitted
acoustics
